Finally, for more price-sensitive customers and to allow for a wider price range for complete gravel bikes, Shimano has updated its 600-series cranks and derailleurs for 1x12 and 2x12 setups, now using technology from the original GRX 800-series components as a result of a "trickle-down" process.

Main features include textured covers and a non-slip coating on the brake levers that enhance control on rough terrain. The new cranksets offer gearing options specifically designed to meet the demands of gravel riding.

The 2x12 cranks have a 46-tooth and a 30-tooth chainring and are available in 165, 170, 172.5, and 175 mm crank arm lengths. The RX610 1x12 crank has the same four crank lengths and is now available with a 38T chainring or even the traditional 40T. These options are paired with a 10-45 or 10-51 cassette.
